Our Apprenticeship Program

Apprenticeships are a proven training method benefitting both job seekers and businesses. CNA Training & Testing Center’s Registered Apprenticeship Program for Certified Nursing Assistant is an approved Florida Board of Nursing program, also registered with the U.S. Department of Labor and the U. S. Department of Veteran Affairs.

In the Registered Apprenticeship Program, Certified Nursing Assistant apprentices’ complete hybrid instruction for core principles and functions of nursing assisting. In combination with the hybrid instruction, registered apprentices will develop a deeper understanding of the practice of nursing through working experience with an employer participant of their choice.

The program also prepares students to take the State licensing exam necessary to become a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registered through the Florida Board of Nursing. In addition to earning Florida Board of Nursing licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, apprentices also earn a nationally recognized Department of Labor apprenticeship certification.

Unlike the traditional postsecondary education programs, which are designed to prepare students for any number of career pathways, the Registered Apprenticeship Program for Certified Nursing Assistants apprenticeship is designed with a specialized focus on the unique needs of a specific nursing sector.

In addition to earning Florida Board of Nursing licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, apprentices also earn a nationally recognized Department of Labor apprenticeship certification.
