A: Yes, you can! A High School diploma or GED is NOT required for our CNA exam preparation or to sit for the State exam to become a Florida licensed CNA.
A: In the case of applicants with a criminal history, there are documents that you may be asked to submit. We can help you through this process, but the Florida Board of Nursing will make the determination of eligibility.
A: No, we do not offer a payment plan because our CNA examination preparation is a direct and affordable path to becoming a Florida licensed CNA. You can, however, register by paying the $50 registration fee and selecting your desired start date. Your remaining balance of $299 would be due on the first day of class.
A: No, we do not offer financial assistance because we are a direct and affordable path to becoming a Florida licensed CNA. We are, however, a ASO (Administrative Services Organization) provider and there may be funds available to purse adult education through the Children's Board of Hillsborough County. We are happy to provide you an invoice with our provider number upon request.
A: Our CNA examination preparation is 4 days of instructor-led classroom time followed by unlimited practice time in the clinical testing area. We offer two flexible schedules to choose from: Morning (10:00 am-2:00 pm) or Evening (5:00 pm-9:00 pm). We also offer one weekend session per month.
A: Our CNA exam preparation is led by qualified instructors and designed to accommodate as many learning styles as possible in the most time efficient way possible. Unlimited practice time is offered in the clinical testing area. Unlimited practice time is optional, but included if you would like additional practice.
Level 2 backgrounds serviced by our on-site livescan vendor are collected and sent for processing directly to the Florida Board of Nursing Background Screening Unit. For the convenience of our candidates, our level 2 background screening is for both licensing and employment and have a five year retention.
A: We are an in-facility test site for Prometric, the exam delivery provider for the Florida Board of Nursing's FL Nurse Aide exam. We do not offer refresher classes, except for testing candidates that have completed their exam preparation with us.
A: Our CNA classes are only offered in English; however, we recommend our evening CNA session for those individuals that are bilingual in English and Spanish.
A: The Level 2 fingerprinting and background and the State testing fee is not included because they are paid to third parties. The Level 2 fingerprinting and background averages $90 and is generally good for 5 years. The State testing fee is $155.
A: Testing candidates must complete their exam preparation with us in order to take the State exam in our facility.
A: That's not a problem, you will still be licensed in Florida when you take the FL Nurse Aide exam.
A: We are an training and in-facility testing center for the Florida Board of Nursing's Nurse Aide exam. We do not award credit hours; therefore, accreditation does not apply.
A: No, CPR is not included because some individuals are already CPR certified. We do, however, offer CPR training and certification at a discounted price for our CNA testing candidates. Although CPR certification is not needed in order to sit for the State exam, CPR certification will be needed to work in a healthcare setting.
A: Our policy is that registration is nonrefundable and nontransferable, except for in extenuating circumstances, as our instructors are secured based on candidate enrollment. We do not accept refund requests over the phone. Please click here to request a refund.
