In the case of applicants with a criminal history, the Board of Nursing may request additional information. We can help you through this process, but the Florida Board of Nursing will make the determination of eligibility.
If your previous fingerprinting was healthcare-related and is shared with AHCA, the Board of Nursing may be able to use those to approve your eligibility for testing. However, this is not guaranteed, and we cannot determine this for you.
If you believe your fingerprints are still active within the five-year retention period, you can submit your application for the Florida Nurse Aide exam without a new Level 2 Background Screening.
If the Board of Nursing cannot locate or use your previous fingerprints, you will receive an email stating that your application is incomplete. At that point, you will need to schedule with our on-site livescan vendor here.
Important: Submitting an application without also completing the level 2 background screening can delay your approval process with the Board of Nursing.
